Walter Montgomery Younge, 77, of West Melbourne, passed away on August 27, 2021.  The viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 3:30 - 4:30PM at Buggs Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow at 4:30PM.

Walter Montgomery Younge, fondly known as "Monty" was born in Friendship, -Buxton, East Coast Demerara, Guyana to the late Lillian Eleanor Younge nee Sam and William Dodsley Younge. Walter died on August 27th, 2021, in West Melbourne, Florida, USA. He is survived by his wife, Annette, his children, Karen, Juliet, Natasha (Fernando) and Steven (Wendy), his former wife Gem, as well as his grandchildren, Imani, Aaliyah and Millie- Rose.

He was the third son and fifth child of Lillian 'Teacher Julie' and William Dodsley Younge. 'Teacher Dodsley''. Brother of Michael and Rollo Younge, Vincent Cornelson and Richard Stewart, and the late Ezra, Dr. Una Paul, Weygand, Norma Younge and Frances Providence. He was a very good cricketer and a sprinter in his youth. He used to run the hundred - yard, folklore has it that no one on the East Coast at that time could beat him. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge covering all and any topic. He had a mechanical mind; he could take anything apart and rebuild it. He really enjoyed gardening, cooking, eating, gaffing and music. He was a self-taught pianist and accordion player and could play anything by ear.

He is survived by so many family members and friends, He was 'uncle Monty’ to Lisa, Nickolet, Cecil, Deirdre, Euan, Damone, Frayne, Kane, Sheralyn, Sherrod, Adrian, Andre, Alicia, Rolston, Roxroy, Jackie, Sherwin, Sean, Rondelle and so many great nieces and nephews. Cousin to the Laings, Sams, Profitts, Adams and Agards and too many others to mention.

May his soul rest in eternal peace. No longer shall the sun go down, for the lord will be your light forever.
