Thurmond Williford Williams Sr.

Thurmond W. Williams Sr. died peacefully on Tuesday, March 25 2025. He was 67. He was born and spent his childhood in Craven County, NC. His parents William A. and Pearlie Williams are both deceased.

He is survived by his wife Euphemia Huggins Williams, his son Thurmond W. Williams Jr. and his step daughter NatalieJ( Roland) Washington. His older brother Williams A. Williams Jr. (Lula Mae). nephews Damien, Greg and Jervais. His nieces Artisia, Kim, Delrea,Patrijce and Sherisse. His brothers in law Carlos and Clinton, sisters in law Pearl, Margaret and Coleen. In addition to a host of cousins many of whom reside in the small towns (Grifton, Vanceboro, Kinston,etc) in Eastern North Carolina.

My husband worked as a bus driver for many years with Greyhound Inc. He loved people and derived so much pleasure driving through the small towns of the north east and midatlantic US. He always had a funny people story to tell after one of his trips.
He was an avid collector of antique cars. I was never surprised to see a tow truck pulling up behind our house with another one of his "I'm going to restore" projects.

I  want to thank all of my family members( especially my brother Carlos) for their support these past 18 months. To my church, friends, coworkers. Thank your for the words of encouragement. When I abruptly closed my office, thanks to all my patients for their sympathies and understanding. Finally but most importantly Thank you GOD.

Thurmond and I were given almost 40 years of marriage. Although an imperfect human being he was everything to my son and I. We are heartbroken and cannot imagine a life without him. Only GOD in his wisdom knows why life happens as it does In the last few moments of his life. He turned his head towards us , opened his eyes, stared at us and smiled. What a beautiful memory we were given. Please cherish your loved ones.

A celebration of his life will be held at our home in Palm Bay, Florida on Saturday April 5th, 2025.
