Thomas Wayne Bass

Thomas Wayne Bass, 78, of Palm Bay, passed away on February 9, 2026. He was born on February 23, 1947, in Dothan, Alabama, to Jack Bass and Rosa Freddie Quattlebaum Bass. He was raised with a deep appreciation for hard work, respect, and family—values shaped during his childhood on his grandparents’ farm, which he often called the best days of his life.

Tom’s greatest pride was his family. He was a loving father to his two sons, Matthew Wayne Bass and Joshua Caleb Bass, and a cherished father-in-law to Kyrie and Taylor, whom he loved as daughters. His grandsons—Isaiah, Alden, Sawyer, and Lawson—were his greatest joy.

He shared a special relationship with his sister, Peggy, and considered her husband, Steve, a brother.

Tom loved stories—both telling them and reading them—and found happiness in simple pleasures: a good book in his hands, classic Westerns on the television, Patsy Cline playing in the background, and Southern cooking on the table. He was a man of habit, loyalty, and quiet strength who lived each day as if it were his last.

He will be deeply missed as a devoted father and grandfather and will remain in our hearts and memories until we meet again.
