Robert Leon Kleiss

Robert Leon Kleiss, a long-time resident of Keokuk, IA, died Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021.  He was born March 28, 1952 in Keokuk to parents, Ralph and Flora Kleiss.  In October 2020, he moved to Melbourne, FL to live with his sister (Darlene) where he passed. Leon has worked at Hawkeye Steel in Houghton, IA, Keokuk Prototype Foundry and KPF Steel in Kahoka, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and all aunts and uncles. He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Jen Humes of Montrose, IA, siblings, Darlene (Ronald) Krause of Melbourne FL, Donna (Bob) Palmeter of Keokuk, IA, Jerry Wayne Kleiss (Mary Sue Howe) and several nieces and nephews. The memorial and celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, May 1st from 2 -4PM at The Salvation Army, 31 S. 30th Street, Keokuk, IA 52632.   There will be snacks and social time for visitation with family and friends.  Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army. Buggs Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
