Rita Marian Schroeder

Rita Marian Schroeder, 70, of West Melbourne, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2025.

Born in Rockville Centre, New York, Rita built a life filled with love, devotion, and joy. She shared 49 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Roger Louis Schroeder. Together, they raised three sons—Jeremy, Derek, and Adam—who were her pride and joy. She was also a cherished grandmother to Julia, Joshua, Jackson, Lily, Mason, and Payton, each of whom brought her immense happiness.

Rita found joy in the simple things in life. She loved fishing, tending to her garden, cooking for her family, and watching the birds gather at her feeder. She also cherished time by the ocean and the loyal companionship of her Labrador Retrievers. Above all, Rita treasured every moment spent with her loved ones.

She is survived by her husband Roger; her children Jeremy, Derek, and Adam; her grandchildren Julia, Joshua, Jackson, Lily, Mason, and Payton; her sisters Carol and June; her brother Thomas; and her sister-in-law Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by her sister Joyce and her parents, John and Marion.

A small family service will be held on Sunday, August 24, 2025, to honor Rita’s life.

Her warmth, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
