Neville L. Parkinson, 87, of Palm Bay, passed away on April 15, 2026. The viewing will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 11AM-12PM at Church of Our Savior. The funeral service will immediately follow at 12PM.

Neville Parkinson was born on May 7, 1938, in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to Lena Jones and Percival Parkinson. He later immigrated to the United States, settling in the Bronx, New York, in 1968. Neville was a devoted member of the Church of Our Savior, where he faithfully served on the Vestry, the Brotherhood, and in the Choir. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and worked as a skilled stonemason. He was also a proud member of the Transit Union. Neville believed deeply in the value of hard work and cherished the time he spent with family and friends. He enjoyed movies, dancing, and authentic Jamaican cuisine.
Neville departed this life on April 15, 2026.
He is survived by his spouse, Ida; his children, Patrick, Sandra, Bridget, and Phillip, who predeceased him in December 2025; his brothers, Sonny Lawson and Ben Lawson; his sisters, Beryl Barclay, Joan Ayelah, and Dorrel Lawson. He was predeceased by his brother Gladstone Lewis who we affectionately called, Buggs. His grandchildren, Patrick Junior, Danielle, and Jourdan. He is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear and devoted friends.
Neville’s legacy of faith, dedication, and love for his family will be cherished by all who knew him.
