Michael Warner, age 65, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on July 13, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1958 in Barnesville, Georgia to Joann W. Worthy and Bennie L. Green.
He was a 1978 graduate of the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind where he played his favorite sport, football. He completed the culinary program in Clearwater, Florida and began working as a chef. He then changed careers and began working as a stocker for Johnson's Hallmark. He then changed careers again, and began working as a landscaper in Tampa, Florida until he retired in Melbourne, Florida.
Michael will be remembered for his outgoing personality and willingness to always help others. He enjoyed chatting with friends and family and being the person to make you laugh and smile. He was never defined by his disability and lived his life to the fullest, even teaching other people in the Deaf community how to sign and be proud of their language and culture.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffery King; his father, Bennie L. Green; his step-father, Willie C. Worthy and his aunts, Addie M. Warner, Dorothy Gray, and Imogene Reeves. He is survived by his mother, Joann W. Worthy; his children, Paige Newman and Daniel Newman; his sister, Marcia Worthy; his aunt, Christine Brown; his children's mother, Nola Newman and a grandchild, Declan Newman Ramai.
Michael was called home by the Lord unexpectedly, but his spirit will live on. His final resting place will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Lincoln Park, Upson County, Georgia.
