Kevin Carl Maguire

Son of Francis William Maguire and Mary Elizabeth (Sinz) Maguire was born March 4th 1954, and has passed away Tuesday October 28th 2025 at his home in Merritt Island Florida.

In his youth he lived in Schenectady and Niskayuna New York where he grew to have a great entrepreneurial know how, a unique sense of humor (that sometimes got him into trouble) but also endeared him to all of his family and friends. One stand out example of his pranking is the story of how the neighbor's lawn chairs got up in a tree...to our knowledge and the way he tells the events, he was the hero.

Attending College and Working in the space industry for NASA is what brought him to make Florida his home. Many A-frame homes that he designed and had built still show the great vision and innovation he had for architecture.

Keeping family close he would welcome us all into his home to vacation and enjoy the sunshine. Being the "Cool Uncle", he allowed all the nieces and nephews to have cake for breakfast whenever he was in charge. Stocking up on ice cream and treats for the kid's pool days that sometimes even included a ride in his latest sports car.

Known as "The Mercedes Man", he owned a numerous number of antique vehicles and exotic sports cars. Many rare ones, including Beatles member John Lennon's first car. All beautiful and gleaming with shiny paint and chrome, you'd never know what would be in his driveway when you went to visit him. He loved going to car shows and auctions, even hosting one big event in Orlando.

Family left to remember him includes his brother Francis William Maguire and sister, Marie (Maguire) Blatchford, Daughter Jessica Coleman, nieces and nephews; Elissa (Simpson) Howard

Sarah Maguire, Amy (Maguire) Kaszuba, Theresa (Blatchford) Flynn, Kevin Blatchford, John Blatchford, Michael Blatchford. His favorite BBQ taste testers and the ones that benefitted from his excellent grilling skills were his grandnieces and nephew, Remington Howard, Maggie Howard, Mercy Howard and Merritt Howard.

Family passed before him include, his Father Francis William Maguire, mother Mary Elizabeth (Sinz) Lavoy, stepfather Arnold Roy Lavoy, sister Patricia (Maguire) Richard, and brother John Maguire.
