Keith Francis Darby, 73, of Micco, passed away on February 23, 2026.

Keith Francis Darby, my Love- you are missed beyond words but I am thankful that you are free from the struggle and pain.

He valued God, His steadfast Faith, Family, & Traditional Values of Life & Love.

We had 35 wonderful years of love & life on an amazing journey fulfilling many glorious dreams & visions.

You loved writing code on the computer, being inventive with inventions to solutions, restoring vintage automobiles, creating one of a kind stained glasses treasures, his "gentleman farming" days & gardening your gladiolas & dalias, hunting with friends, being part of a program for kids with life threatening diseases to allow them to experience a "moose hunt" with the HAT program in Vermont to your last hobby of collecting coins.

Keith was born on September 26, 1952 to Harry & Dorothy Darby in Bronx, NY but spent his childhood in Plainview, Long Island NY.

He was a 3rd generation bricklayer & stone mason creating some incredible structures such as fireplaces, college dorm, a library & many more.

Keith loved this craft which he did with his Dad in NY, then moved to their beloved Vermont.

He leaves behind his sisters: Rosemary Howard & Susan (Richard) Klebanoff; his two treasured daughters: Christine Darby, Kathleen (Danny)Whittemore & his love of his heart Grandaughter, Hailey. Also, his special niece & nephews: Brian & Tommy Howard, Rachel (Jared) Horn, Daniel (Becca) Klebanoff and great nieces & nephews: Aubrey, Noah, Poppi & Reese. Several cousins but one very close to him, Margaret (M&M) & Joe Demeo.

As a step-father, we remember him fondly as a teacher of his crafts, automotive skills, and sharing is love for fishing & target shooting to his stepsons, Justin & Jesse (Beth) Jackman. He loved his precious step-grandchildren: Morgan(Kyle), Matthew, Josie, Emma,& Natalie, along with 2 step great-grandchildren: Riley & Mya and a very special foster daughter, Brenda (Friend) Ferro & her children Vincent & Nicholas.

We will have a celebration of your life later in the year where you always had fond memories of growing up on Long Island & a special place where your Gramps got you "hooked" on surf cast fishing for all of your life.

You loved God with all your heart and I know you are dancing in heaven with family & friends who have gone before us.

Our love was real, deeply spiritual and as we experienced while RVing for 9 years, we always anticipate with excitement what is around the next corner.

I love you, my dear husband...Our journey is only on pause ... Until we meet again!
