Katie Beatrice Jackson, 78, of West Melbourne, passed away on July 21, 2025.

Katie B. Jackson, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, peacefully passed away on July 21, 2025. Born in Newport News, Virginia, Katie lived a life filled with love, devotion to her family, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Katie's greatest joys came from her role as the matriarch of her loving family and her role as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was a source of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love for all who knew her. Her warm spirit and generous heart created a foundation of love that will continue to inspire future generations.

Katie was predeceased by her parents, Raymond, Jr. and Katie Ward, her brother, Raymond Ward, III, and her sister, Delores Lewis (Paul). She is survived by her devoted brother, Norman Ward (Frances); her cherished children, William Jackson, Helen Cox (Lionel), Valare' Allen and Norman Ferguson (Kesha); eight adoring grandchildren; six precious great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Each of these family members carries forward Katie's legacy of love, kindness, and family unity.

Throughout her life, Katie demonstrated the values of Christian fellowship, compassion, resilience, and dedication to family that defined her character. Her memory will be treasured by all who were blessed to know her, and her influence will continue to guide her family for generations to come.

The family will announce funeral arrangements at a later date. During this time of mourning, the family is grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and community and church members who shared in Katie's remarkable life.
