Jeannette Christina Harris Saunders

Jeannette Christina Harris Saunders, 87, of Washington, D.C., peacefully departed this life on May 17, 2026.

A beloved mother, grandmother, family matriarch, and friend, Jeannette was known for her strength, grace, wisdom, and enduring love for her family. She lived a life rooted in faith, compassion, resilience, and dedication to those she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sylvester Harold Saunders. Cherishing her memory and legacy are her children, Sha’ron McIntosh Durham and Kevin Michael Malone, her beloved grandchildren, William Tristian McIntosh and Wanita Michelle Hamilton, along with extended family members, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her tenacity and caring spirit.

Jeannette will be remembered for the warmth she shared, the guidance she provided, and the love she gave unconditionally. Her presence brought comfort and strength to many, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A commemorative service will be held on June 18th, 2026 at 12:30 pm at the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico.
