Fran Bart, 64, passed away peacefully after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family and leaves behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love.

Fran is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Scott Bart; her children, Josh Bart (Elyssa) and Melissa Spano (Andrew); her cherished grandchildren, Carter Spano (4), Noah Bart (1), and a granddaughter soon to be born to Josh and Elyssa. She also leaves behind her loyal dog, Teddi, who never left her side.

Fran dedicated her life to helping others. Her career as a social worker brought comfort and guidance to many, and during the last 13 years of her professional life, she served as a hospice social worker—a role that perfectly reflected her empathy and strength. Her care and compassion touched countless families during their most vulnerable moments.

Beyond her professional life, Fran had a deep love for animals. She spent many meaningful days in Georgia supporting her dear friend Mary and the work they did together at a local Humane Society. Fran also found joy and serenity in Florida, where she made lasting friendships and delighted in the beauty of the ocean.

Fran’s warmth, humor, and open heart will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness, and her spirit lives on in her family, her friends, and everyone she helped throughout her life.

A celebration of life will be held with close family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Fran’s honor to Helping Hands Humane Society, P.O. Box 112, Crawfordville , GA 30631.
