Elaine Andrea Wilson, 81, of Cocoa, passed away on March 22, 2026. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Free Union Baptist Church in Culpeper, Virginia.

Elaine Andrea Wilson was born to the late Doris and Arnold Jones on June 8, 1944, in Passaic, New Jersey. Surrounded by loved ones, she peacefully departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida.

Elaine earned her diploma in cosmetology from Essex County Girls Vocational and Technical High School, in Newark, New Jersey. She retired from the pharmaceutical industry in 2006. She was united in marriage to the late Willie Gordon Wilson of Culpeper, Virginia on September 4, 1965. This union was blessed with two children, Sonja J. Wilson and Keyon R. Wilson. Both children preceded her in death.

Elaine’s legacy is one of kindness and generosity which knew no bounds. Her home and her heart were open to everyone. She had a rare gift for making everyone feel seen and valued, and leaves behind a melody of kind-heartedness that will linger in our hearts forever. While her radiant spirit will be deeply missed, her light continues to shine through those who loved her.

Left to treasure her memory are her cherished grandchildren, Namira A. Wilson and Marcus G. Wilson (Tiyana), her great-grandchildren, Tyree Wilson, Zaniyah Hasan, Ne’Shawn Hasan and Nazir Hasan, and her great-great-grandchildren, Amorra Royal, Ke’Mari Washington and Kirin Garcia. Her memory also lives on through her two beloved sisters, Arline Newby and Jo Ann Hatcher (Andrew), a cousin, Alice Vickers and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who held a special place in her heart.
