Claris J. Rode

Claris Jean (Gray) Rode, 86, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025 in the loving care of her daughter’s family.

She was born in Montgomery, Alabama, and throughout her life carried the warmth and kindness of her Southern roots.  She met her husband in the South but they built their lives together in Sauk Village, Il.

Claris was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; her son, Randy; her parents; and her sister, Jacqueline. She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Eisemann and Peggy Sue (Brent) Cash; grandchildren Timothy and Christina Eisemann, and Branden, Ben, and Lilly Cash.

She was known for her love of the Chicago Cubs, her enthusiasm for Bingo, her enjoyment of casino trips, and the many joyful moments spent with her neighbors. Claris had a generous spirit and was always smiling.

She will be interred alongside her parents at Highland Memorial Gardens in Bessemer, Alabama, where she will rest in peace surrounded by family.
