Charles Dell Deming

Charles Dell Deming, born in Jackson, Michigan on March 4th, 1939, passed away June 13th, 2023, leaving behind his wife of 44 years, Renee, two daughters, Kirsten and Meg, a son, Brent, and his sister, Dru. Chuck was a renaissance man. In high school, he won Band competitions as a clarinet player. He graduated from Georgia Tech with an Electrical Engineering degree and then sailed around the world during the 60's as a Radar Engineer with RCA, helping to build radars across the globe when radar technology was quite new. He also worked with Northrup Grumman as a contractor affiliated with NASA during the Apollo missions and tracked multiple launches for the Shuttle Program. He enjoyed all things scientific and mathematical, but also loved camping, football and gun collecting. In addition, he was an architect who designed homes for himself and for his father's company, Deming Construction. He had a passion for new technologies, gourmet cooking, music, and good wines. He loved jazz and enjoyed singing the old standards from the 40's and 50's - He had a beautiful voice. He was loved and admired for his sense of humor and dry wit, and his passion for politics. Chuck was a gentleman, and his friends and family will miss him dearly.
