Brandon Jose Johnson was born on December 25, 1985 in Fredericksburg, Virginia as the first born to Kelley J. Cooper and Clarence Johnson. He was raised and reared by William Cooper Jr.
Brandon, affectionately known as Fred, was raised in Dahlgren, Virginia. At the age of 17, he moved to Rockledge, Florida with his family. He was a respected and beloved son, a devoted father, a steadfast brother, and a cherished uncle.
Brandon was a hard worker and master of all things he attempted. He worked for 18 years as a manager for Carroll Distributing in Melbourne, Florida.
The job he loved best of all was being a father. Brandon was crazy about Gianni. He found the greatest joy in spending time with her.
Brandon loved music, his family, coming home to a hot meal, and most of all he loved all of the children in his life. Uncle B, as he was affectionately known, often pulled up to play outside with the kids or picked them up for weekends at his house. Wherever he was, laughter followed. Brandon was the kind of man who put others before himself. He would show up in a white tuxedo to change a flat tire. He could fix anything he set his mind to. His music was loud and his Cadillac was clean.
Our hearts were broken when Brandon departed this life on October 5, 2023.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret Sue Johnson and William Ogle Johnson, and his uncle, William “Mike” Johnson Jr.
Brandon leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved daughter and pride and joy, Gianni Johnson of Melbourne, Florida; parents, Kelley J. Cooper of Rockledge, Florida and William Cooper of King George, Virginia; three sisters, Nyasha Johnson of Rockledge, Florida, Alicia Johnson Pinkney of Maryland and Latasha Johnson of Virginia; one brother, William Jamal Cooper (Ebony) of Mustang, Oklahoma; three nieces, Lon’Dyn Johnson, Braelynn Johnson, and Kehlani Cooper; three nephews, TeJon Johnson, Ryaunte Blount, and Kalil Cooper; two grandmothers, Doris Cooper of King George, Virginia and Lorraine “Pat” Johson (Jeff) of Oxon Hill, Maryland, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and sorrowing friends. He loved and was loved by Jonnelle Davis and her son, Cade, as well as Angel Batcher and Bruce Patrick.
